The Close of A Semester

Well, the semester is drawing to a close and I have managed to find some time to pull myself away from my studies to update you all as to what is going on here. Well, Thanksgiving break was a ball. I truly enjoyed getting to see all of you. (Oh and by the way Robin, I missed seeing you.) I've just recently gotten my glasses and I got my nose pierced. Yes, I now have a "shiney booger". Joel (Sprinkles) and I went and got it done....well, he didn't get his nose pierced, I did. He went with me. Anyhow, it looks really good. I have a few finals and quite a few papers that I have had due, and I still have some left as well. I recently filmed a video for my final project in my honor's class. It was on the black plague striking my building, and it is quite humorous and good in the aweful-home-video kind of way. I've recently been sick, but I am better now. My friends love me because they took quite good care of me. Joel would not let me leave my room for any reasons that were not necessary, and Brad, a hallmate, gave Joel some ni'quill to give to me so I could sleep. And there was the time when I fell out of my bed sick, and my roommate Laura and my friend Samantha picked me up and put me back in bed. So, see family I am well taken care of and cared for here. We've become one big family.

Here's the nose piercing. I thought that I should share a photo of me with it.

To those of you who want updates.

Dear readers,

I cannot nor will not update this blog very often right now. Sorry. I have a life outside of this wonderful thing called the Internet; however, it may not be that interesting. Right now I am working on getting everything ready for the end of the semester with finals and final projects and papers and what have you. It's 1.) very important and 2.) not very interesting; therefor, I find no real reason to update this very often right now. I also now have a job that I has been thrown into the mix that is called my life. School is of utmost importance to me. Now, if there are anymore complaints about my lack of updates please feel free to stick them in the trash or in your own eye.

Life and LIFE

Well, as you can imagine I have been extremely busy. I went to the A D Pi Mallard Ball with my friend Amber and my roommate Laura. Then the next day was Casino Night. I had a blast. I got so many compliments on my dress and hair. I looked like Marilyn Monroe. Plan and simple. Well, The Cover of Life went quite well. The show was a blast and went wonderful. Four shows over four days and three bouquets of flowers. My room indeed does smell pretty now. After the last show we had to strike the set and of course I commandeered Joel and he helped too. My job was to strike the lights. Well, that's about it.

All Hallow's Eve

Ok, I am finally posting again. The reason that I didn't was because there wasn't much to share and I was waiting for Halloween so I could tell you all about the amazing awesome costume party. Well, let's see where to start...hmm..... Ok, yesterday I was pretty much the full time employed hair and make-up artist for my friends (pretty much all of 2nd floor Albright). Anywho, I did my hair first at about 1:00 or so, then I helped Toni with her hair and make up. That was followed by doing Rochelle's hair and make up. (She was a fairy). Followed by me doing Brad's scars, he was the Joker. Then I attached Curtis's elf ears, then I did Elisabeth's cat make up, and finally I did Joel's Captain Jack Sparrow make up. I was up to my elbows in assignments. Needless to say, everyone looked fantastic. So fantastic in fact that at the costume party 2nd floor Albright swept the costume contest. There were two catagories: Best Male Costume and Best Female Costume. Brad won best male and I won best female costume. That's right Belle from Beauty and the Beast won. And yes, I looked like Belle. Since I did Brad's scars and stuff it's pretty much like I won twice. Ok, picture time!

Look! It's Bill (Justin) and Hillary (Katlyn) Clinton and Monica Lewinsky (Alica)

The China Doll (Sam), A Gothic Girl (Angel) and a Vampire (Adora)
The Joker (Brad) and The Queen of Hearts (Toni)

Jesus (Joey) and A Geshia/Mulan (Amber)

Captain Jack Sparrow (Joel). I did the make up and put together that costume. Am I good or am I good?

Princess Kathleen, Vampire (Adora again) and Princess Emily

The China Doll (Sam again) and The Rejected Tinkerbelle (Rochelle). Again, I did Rochelle's hair and make up. Again, I am just amazing.

And finally the picutre that you've all been waiting for.....
Introducing three Disney Princesses......

Belle (me) Sleeping Beauty (Laura) and Cinderella (Amber)

My Crazy Floor

As the title implies crazy things happen on my floor. I'm talking about weird, crazy, random odd and slightly scary things happen on my floor, and since I'm in a sharing mood I think I'll give you guys just a small glimpse at what really goes on here. Keep in mind that this is mostly only things that have happened after fall break, with one event that has happened before it.

A few days ago, my dear friends Kathleen, Sam and Emily were playing hockey....inside....on our hall....with brooms, a lacrosse stick and a tennis ball. I joined in to help Kathleen. My weapon: a dustpan. Needless to say, Kathleen and I lost.

This is Sam and I. Laura took the picture. It looks like I'm pulling snot out of my nose, but it's not snot. It's just fake spiderweb. Getting the picture?

These are some of my neighbors, Anneka and Mary. For Anneka's birthday (which happened before fall break), Mary (her roommate and one of the RA's), decided to fill their room with balloons. This is a picture of the plan having been fulfilled. Now you're wondering how did we get all the balloons in there. We, meaning Mary, Laura and I, blew them up a few days in advance. Where did we store them? My room.

This is my other RA, Niran.

This is a squirrel.
These two pictures are connected. That lovely little critter was inside our building. That's right, there was a squirrel inside Albright. Well, some people had chased it and cornered it in some one's room and had Niran catch it and take it outside. The next day the same squirrel was back inside the building and in some one's room. Niran went to go catch it again to repeat the process. Well this time, the squirrel bit him and held on. Niran still got the squirrel out of the building, but he also had to go to the hospital and get a rabies shot. Niran was at the hospital from 7pm the evening to 6am the next morning.
And that my dears, is what happens here. Hall Hockey to fake snot to rooms filled with balloons to capture the squirrel to rabies shots. There is never a dull moment when your hall is filled with a bunch of crazies.

Fall Break

Well, fall break has come and gone for me. As you all know, I was home for the break. It was nice to see you guys, but it's really nice to be back in room 223 Albright, Queens University. I'm back here with my friends trying to get back into the swing of things, and I must say, it's a bit difficult. Robin and I modified a dress of mine, and I must say that it looks fantastic. Everyone who's seen it so far agrees. And right now I have to go dance to a song that is playing. Yep, everything is back to normal around here.

Things You Realize

To me it seems that as soon as I left home everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, kind of started to go down the toilet. I'm a little curious about that fact. Maybe it's because for some odd reason my crazy sense of humor and anti-seriousness and A.D.D. keep everything together, or maybe everything was falling down and I just didn't realize it because I was an insider. And we all know that an insider can't see what's going because they are caught up in playing their part. Hmm.....so either a.) my leaving was a result in taking the key stone out of this proverbial archway so it falls or b.) my leaving was well timed to get me out of this brewing and bubbling craziness, discord and chaos....you have just got to love those light bulb moments. In other news, the latest paper that I did for my CORE class got the grade of a B+ and we just finished watching the movie TOMBSTONE in my English class. Great quote from that movie is...."I've got two guns: one for each of you" said by Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday.

Halloween Spirit

As we all know it is the lovely month of October, and at the end of this month is the holdiday that I live for each year.....HALLOWEEN!!! The only day when I get to dress up and act like somebody else all day and it's perfectly normal. Well, here in Albright, we're having a door decorating contest. So, of course I am going pretty far out there for it, along with my friend Amanda who lives at the other end of the hall. It simply started out as a trip to Target to get a few things that were needed around the dorm, and it turned into a door decorating trip. We've simply decided that since we've helped each other decorate our doors, that when one of us wins we'll split the prize. Here....there are pictures too.

Amanda and Kathleen and the skeleton prisioner across from Amanda's door.

Amanda hanging lights around her door.

Me hanging lights around my door.

Joel (who was commendeered and forced to help against his will) putting up the scary wall cling of the skeleton comming out of the wall with an axe. We named the skeleton Jim.

Albright Epidemic: Zombie Wars

Well, I would like to say that I am feeling a lot better. YAY! This weekend in my building we're playing a game called Zombie Wars. Pretty much, if you get tagged with a spoon by a zombie (somebody wearing red) then you're a zombie too. The object: don't get zombie-i-fied. If your a zombie, the object: zombie-i-fy as many people as possible. I am not playing, because I am just too cool. Actually, I thought that the Albright Epidemic was going to be effecting me this weekend, but apparently it's not. Anyhow....what have I been up to at college you might ask? Well, there's always the tree climbing, sprinkler running, and tag playing all at midnight or so. Oh might I add that I kick butt at all of that. I am a beast. My friend, Joel....aka Hobo Joel or Sprinkles, is one of the people that I've commandeered for this. Other people occasionally go along with this commandeering, but sometimes they are just bupkisses and decide not to play along with the fun games. Well anyhow, I am a beast at climbing/shimming up trees on campus. This has been proven and there are several witnesses to this....including the campus police. Apparently tree climbing at 12:30 at night is a suspicious activity.

Albright Epidemic

There's an epidemic sweeping my building, and everybody who's gotten it has gotten sick. And yes, I am one of the victims. I have gotten sick with the cold that's ravaging my floor. Well, I'm looking at the fact that it could be worse and I could not be able to talk or move, and thankfully I can. I just have a sore throat, a cough, and a slightly stuffy nose. So, here's to the Day-Quill, cough drops, hot tea and chicken noodle soup, and hopefully I'll be better soon.

CORE...and then some.

A test. My first test in college. That is how today started off with. Well, to be honest, it started off hanging out with a friend and then dancing and singing with my roommate Laura into the wee and early hours of the morning. Needless to say, I liked the latter a whole lot better than the former. Well, my first test went well.....I think. I mean, I found all the questions quite easy. That means one of two things: either A.) I did really well or B.) I failed horribly. Way to go 50/50 chances! I would like to thank Rachael for the banner. I think it's adorable. Oh, and Robin, the other day I had clam chowder for lunch, and I loved it. See....yet another new food.

Busy....like always

I understand, it's been a few days since my last post. Well, I've been busy. I've had to go to rehearsals, and study for my Core test tomorrow, and memorize lines, and I've also learned how to play a song on the piano. YAY! Mandy is finally acomplishing something here on her list of things to learn. Piano. Life up here is pretty much normal. And exciting news for you all, I'm going to be coming home next month for fall break. One thing that I've noticed here at college is that all the people that I'm friends with here remind me of people that I was friends with back home. It's wierd because they'll say something and I'll accidently call them by the name of the person that they remind me of. It's pretty funny. Well, I should go study some more.....*sigh*

People Really Piss Me The Hell Off

If you can't tell by the title of this post I am really pissed. It is 1:18 at this very moment and I am just going to vent here to you guys. So, I get on Facebook about twenty minutes ago and my friend Kelly, who is a doll, messages me "Can I ask you some questions!!!" I respond with "Shoot." I have nothing to hide, and I'm thinking that it's some poll thing that she has to do for some class. (Back story/side note here: Kelly goes to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, and that's where Jeffery, Chelsea's ex, goes. Trust me, this all comes into play.) Kelly proceeds to ask me if I've been smoking weed and stuff. Well, you guys know me pretty damn well to know that the answer to that is no, so of course I tell her the truth. I also ask why; I mean, I'm kind of curious to this question's origin. She proceeds to tell me that Jeffery has been saying shit about how I'VE been smoking weed and doing all this other shit. (What this "other shit" is, I have no idea. Kelly being the good friend she is didn't elaborate on it.) You guys know what happened this summer. Of course, you all were there. So now Jeffery's being a dick face and is spreading these bullshit rumors about me and how I'm doing drugs and God only knows what else. I'm pretty pissed off. I haven't spoken a single word to him this summer and now he's spreading all these bullshit rumors about me. And I swear, if I see him or hear any more of this shit that he's been saying then I'm going to track him down like the dog he is and kick his ass! And I will be more than happy to get a drug test done for him just to prove that he's acting like the lying dog he is.

College Life Back to Normal...err....

College life, normal? Well, everything's back to as normal as it gets around here. Nerf gun wars/modifications, ninja fights, pillow fights, study parties, slumber parties, and yes class. Family Weekend is over. Sherry and Elden and everybody else's parents have gone home. This weekend; however, was fun. Yes, I just said that spending a weekend with Sherry in MY territory was fun. Mostly because I know all the stuff about this area and SHE DOESN'T. Anyhow, I had fun. Now, it's shout out time to those of you back home. Jenn, thanks SOOOO much for the pies. I love them....and so does everybody else. Rachael, sorry I'm not there to help baby-proof. Angela, you pies are still better than Jenn's. Sorry Jenn, but it's the truth and I tell it like I see it. Robin, you and Randy should have come up to visit this weekend. I am very dissapointed in you. And lastly, a BIG thank you to Sherry and Elden for the new clothes and shoes and mostly just putting up with me this weekend. This weekend was really fun. After Sherry and Elden left Laura, her mom and I went to South Park mall and just goofed off. Laura mostly wanted to go so she could get some ideas for a dress for Casino Night, so Laura and I tried on pretty fancy dresses just for fun. YAY DRESS UP! Anyhow that about sums it up for this LOVELY weekend here at Queens. Now...it's off to play....err.....study.

Yo ho ho....and a bottle of rum

Today is probably one of the best holidays ever, right next to Halloween, Christmas and my birthday. It's.....drum roll please, or rather cannon shots,.....INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!!! Yes children, that's right, international talk like a pirate day. And now you're wondering what this lovely day implies, right? Well, it's simple; today is the day where you get to talk like a pirate all day and it's considered perfectly normal. Unless you are a pirate, then talking like one is just normal for you everyday. And what's even better is today if you really want to you can even dress up like one too! And shoot people!....wait.....scratch that. No shooting people. That's illegal all the time. Nevermind. Unless it's with a nerf gun...that's ok. So yes, today is international talk like a pirate day AND the first day of family weekend. This could be quite fun. Tehehe.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Family Weekend here at Queens, so that means that I've been here for about a month. Has it really only been a month? I mean, it feels like I've been living here for, like, ever. Ok, only if you forget about the fact that I don't know any of the streets or anything like that. But seriously, it feels like my home. Wowzers, and it's only been a month. Well, that being said tomorrow is family weekend. To explain, my family is going to come up here, poke around, ask me fifty million questions, lecture me, and in short bother me and possibly drive me crazy. *sigh* Well, I guess I might as well prepare myself some how.....I don't think that bullet proof vests would do me any good though; however, I do have a nerf gun. Be prepared; you have been warned.

International Food Day!

So, as you all know, or should know I love food. I mean L-O-V-E it. I love eating food in general....except some of those icky foods such as beans, peas, and any sort of vegetable that looks like it came out of the back end of a lawn mower. Well, anyhow tonight here at Queens we had international food night sponsored by CUB (that's Campus Union Board, for those of you who don't know what it is). So, basically what went down was we traveled from residence building to residence building and got to eat different foods from around the world. (Each building had a different country.) So pretty much I got to eat Thai food, food from Spain, jambalaya and bread pudding from New Orleans, and food from India. I was in heaven. I have never had so much good food in my life....well, except for when Angela and Jeff are in town and Jeff cooks, but that's a different story. So Robin, I have been trying new things here. I mean, I just took a trip around the world and ate all of this native cuisine.

You would think

You know, you would think that at a college campus, and on a floor with all your friends you couldn't possibly find any time to do your work. Let alone, any time that it would be quite, besides when everybody's alseep. Well, right now it's quiet. It's 8:00 pm and my dorm floor is relativly quiet. I'm begining to get worried...maybe there was a zombie attack or something, or there was a mass memo about fun that was sent out that I didn't get. And you would also think that doing a powerpoint on the Black Plague would be very interesting, well it's not. It's just very tedious. *sigh* Thankfully, if I can get everything to work right Monty Python and the Holy Grail will add in some comedy into this rather depressing presentation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grbSQ6O6kbs

Too bad everything is moving so slow. Since I have the extra time, I think I'll go make sure nobody got eaten by large ferocious dustbunnies of doom.

I've given in

Ok, so I've done it. I've given in to this fad called blogging that has recently caused my family to lose what sanity they had left. What have I gotten myself into? Just to let you all know, I'm doing this because there are just so gosh darn many of you, and I can't call ALL of you on Thursdays. I mean, I do have a life here and have fun to do.....I mean.....homework. This way you guys can keep up with me the same way I keep up with you. Through the internet! Oh the wonders of technology in the global age. Anyhow, now you guys can know what I'm up to here at Queen's, without having to hear it second hand and all that jazz. You can just read it here. Now, I know, it's nothing like hearing me explain it and act it all out. Well, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Besides, you guys are always checking Rachael's, Angela's and now Jen's blog, so you can just add mine to the list of daily ritual readings. YAY! I mean, it's not like you guys have anything better to do with your time.
