Interesting Things Found in my Room

Well, I have a fun story to tell you all.

The setting: my dorm room last night at around 1:00 am. At this point in time, Joel and I were rather hungry from the factors of studying/doing tons homework and the fact that for the past few days the food in the caff hasn't been so good. So, I suddenly come up with a bright idea. I turn to Joel after a pause that followed his complaints of extreme hunger and exclaim, "I have a cheesecake in my freezer!!!" At this point we (meaning I) pull the cheesecake out, unwrap it, defrost it, cut it and serve it. I cut my piece and suddenly remember that along with a cheesecake, I brought back topping to go on it. Like any sensible person, I pull it out. I make a few attempts to open it, but fail epically, so Joel, being the nice and kind person that he is, takes it from me and opens it.

Apparently, I had started to grow a relatively large miniature planet in there, and after opening it, the small mold creatures think that Joel is their god. I promptly, removed the once-cheesecake-topping-now-large-micro-planet from Joel and threw it away in the trash room. I refuse to harbor small ecosystems in my fridge.

Speaking of small ecosystems...I am not opposed to harboring them elsewhere in my room. (No Sherry and Robin, I do not have mold growing under my bed or in my sock drawer.) I have a fish tank. Yes, that is correct, a fish tank. (And yes it is actually set up and working properly and is not taking up space like the one that sat in the back of my car for a good portion of my senior year.) In this tank there are two fan-tailed goldfish named Benedick and Beatrice and a small fully aquatic frog named Leonato. Yes, I am that big of a nerd to name my pets after characters from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

I do know for a fact that the fish and fully aquatic frog are allowed in my dorm, but I'm not quite sure about the large micro-planet...which is also a contributing factor to why I threw it away. That, and 1.) I found it kind of icky. 2.) I don't think that my roommate would appreciate it, and 3.) there was a fear that the large micro-planet might grow large enough to develop an army and nuclear technology, which would be bad. Very bad. Very very very bad. I don't want a war to break out in my fridge between the fruit topping planet and the bottled water.

So, in short, I accidentally grew a large micro-planet in my fridge, in which the mold creatures thought that Joel was their god, and I have a fish tank complete with two fish and a frog. Yay for in-dorm ecosystems, either accidental or intentional, benign or potently tyrannical.

New New New

Well, it's a new year, and a new semester with new classes full of new people. I must say that so far I am enjoying my classes; even though I've only been to three of the five. Unfortunatly in each of my three classes there is a shmuck. My English class, my Core class...all though Joel is in there to save me from death of the shmuck....or rather save him from being beaten to death by me. In second case, Joel would just watch me beat Ross down...oops. Ross is also unfortunatly in my English class. Please, somebody save me. And to further my three days a week with shmucks....the only male in Cover of Life is in my theatre class. I think I may end up shooting somebody......or at least beating someone down with a high heeled shoe. Oh well, at least things will be interesting this semester.

The Close of A Semester

Well, the semester is drawing to a close and I have managed to find some time to pull myself away from my studies to update you all as to what is going on here. Well, Thanksgiving break was a ball. I truly enjoyed getting to see all of you. (Oh and by the way Robin, I missed seeing you.) I've just recently gotten my glasses and I got my nose pierced. Yes, I now have a "shiney booger". Joel (Sprinkles) and I went and got it done....well, he didn't get his nose pierced, I did. He went with me. Anyhow, it looks really good. I have a few finals and quite a few papers that I have had due, and I still have some left as well. I recently filmed a video for my final project in my honor's class. It was on the black plague striking my building, and it is quite humorous and good in the aweful-home-video kind of way. I've recently been sick, but I am better now. My friends love me because they took quite good care of me. Joel would not let me leave my room for any reasons that were not necessary, and Brad, a hallmate, gave Joel some ni'quill to give to me so I could sleep. And there was the time when I fell out of my bed sick, and my roommate Laura and my friend Samantha picked me up and put me back in bed. So, see family I am well taken care of and cared for here. We've become one big family.

Here's the nose piercing. I thought that I should share a photo of me with it.

To those of you who want updates.

Dear readers,

I cannot nor will not update this blog very often right now. Sorry. I have a life outside of this wonderful thing called the Internet; however, it may not be that interesting. Right now I am working on getting everything ready for the end of the semester with finals and final projects and papers and what have you. It's 1.) very important and 2.) not very interesting; therefor, I find no real reason to update this very often right now. I also now have a job that I has been thrown into the mix that is called my life. School is of utmost importance to me. Now, if there are anymore complaints about my lack of updates please feel free to stick them in the trash or in your own eye.

Life and LIFE

Well, as you can imagine I have been extremely busy. I went to the A D Pi Mallard Ball with my friend Amber and my roommate Laura. Then the next day was Casino Night. I had a blast. I got so many compliments on my dress and hair. I looked like Marilyn Monroe. Plan and simple. Well, The Cover of Life went quite well. The show was a blast and went wonderful. Four shows over four days and three bouquets of flowers. My room indeed does smell pretty now. After the last show we had to strike the set and of course I commandeered Joel and he helped too. My job was to strike the lights. Well, that's about it.

All Hallow's Eve

Ok, I am finally posting again. The reason that I didn't was because there wasn't much to share and I was waiting for Halloween so I could tell you all about the amazing awesome costume party. Well, let's see where to start...hmm..... Ok, yesterday I was pretty much the full time employed hair and make-up artist for my friends (pretty much all of 2nd floor Albright). Anywho, I did my hair first at about 1:00 or so, then I helped Toni with her hair and make up. That was followed by doing Rochelle's hair and make up. (She was a fairy). Followed by me doing Brad's scars, he was the Joker. Then I attached Curtis's elf ears, then I did Elisabeth's cat make up, and finally I did Joel's Captain Jack Sparrow make up. I was up to my elbows in assignments. Needless to say, everyone looked fantastic. So fantastic in fact that at the costume party 2nd floor Albright swept the costume contest. There were two catagories: Best Male Costume and Best Female Costume. Brad won best male and I won best female costume. That's right Belle from Beauty and the Beast won. And yes, I looked like Belle. Since I did Brad's scars and stuff it's pretty much like I won twice. Ok, picture time!

Look! It's Bill (Justin) and Hillary (Katlyn) Clinton and Monica Lewinsky (Alica)

The China Doll (Sam), A Gothic Girl (Angel) and a Vampire (Adora)
The Joker (Brad) and The Queen of Hearts (Toni)

Jesus (Joey) and A Geshia/Mulan (Amber)

Captain Jack Sparrow (Joel). I did the make up and put together that costume. Am I good or am I good?

Princess Kathleen, Vampire (Adora again) and Princess Emily

The China Doll (Sam again) and The Rejected Tinkerbelle (Rochelle). Again, I did Rochelle's hair and make up. Again, I am just amazing.

And finally the picutre that you've all been waiting for.....
Introducing three Disney Princesses......

Belle (me) Sleeping Beauty (Laura) and Cinderella (Amber)
